Junior Contestants:


Georgina is 12 years old & attends Our Lady of the Sacred
Heart School in Springsure. her special interests are spending time grooming her
horse, whose nick name is Chippy. She has had Chippy for 18 months & enjoys
jumping, flat work, riding in general & helping the younger children at Pony
Club. Outside pony club Georgina plays netball, does art, goes swimming & has
fun hanging out with her friends. She decided to join this years Personality
Quest to widen her experiences & help raise funds for a very worthy cause,
Riding for the Disabled.

Carrie is 12 years
old & in Year 7 at Gayndah Primary School. She has been associated with the
Gayndah Pony Club all her life & became a riding member in 2004. Carrie enjoys
all disciplines in Pony Club, but especially jumping. Competing regularly at
Gymkhanas, Carrie also enjoys the social aspect of Pony Club & has made many new
friends. Interests & Hobbies outside Pony Club keep Carrie very busy. She is a
competitive swimmer, plays touch football & has a passion for scrap-booking.

Lauren is 12 years old and in
Year 7 at Chancellor State College. She has been a member of Caloundra Pony Club
for 18 months and enjoys competing in Dressage, Hack Days and at Gymkhanas.
Lauren has owned her horse, Cloud Nine, for two years and is hoping to start
competing in Showjumping. Outside Pony Club Lauren enjoys playing Futsal,
Soccer, Water Skiing, camping and riding her motor bike. For relaxation she
likes listening to music.

Josephine is 15 years old & attends Monto State High
School. She has been riding for as long as she can remember. As well as horse
riding Josephine enjoys playing sport such as football, cricket 7 soccer plus
she likes listening to music & hanging out with friends. A member of Monto Pony
Club for 6 years Josephine helps the younger riders with preparing their horses
for events as well as with their riding. She competed at the PCAQ State
Gymkhana, Sporting, Mounted games & Campdrafting in 2010 & 2011 & hopes to go
again next year. This is the second year that Josephine has entered the
Personality Quest & says how good it feels to raise money for the RDAQ.

Jordie is fifteen years old & has been riding in Kia Ora pony club for 8 years
but has been riding horses throughout life. her achievements include winning
gold at state equitation this year on her horse Ziggy and in 2010 she & her
horse Mister Moriarty won the Hilary Boshammer trophy at state equitation.
Jordie has been riding Ziggy for 18 months and he's been the most important
thing to her along with her other horse Morry. Jordie is in year 10, her
favourite subject is Drama but she doesn't have time for many hobbies because
she is always riding her horse & competing. Jodie's goal is to be able to ride
at the Olympics someday & she is entering this personality quest to help raise
money for the Riding for the Disabled Association because she enjoys horse
riding so much & it is a big part of my life that she wants to be able to share
with others who have physical limitations.
:2011 Senior Contestants:

Sarah
has been riding since she was 2 years old. Horses have always been a part of her
life, and she competes in campdrafting, horse sports, rodeos and pony club. Away
from horses her hobbies are tennis, and running and she is very much into
sport. Sarah loves a challenge and wants to keep learning more and more every
time she rides at rally days under the direction of the awesome club Instructors.
Jess is 21 years old and currently
completing a Bachelor of Financial Planning/Accounting. 10 years old before she
had her first riding lesson, Jess joined Musgrave Pony Club in 2005 with her
first horse Spice. Today she is still a very active member and has acquired a
second horse. Both horses have taught her so much, not only about riding, but
about the details that matter. As well as her riding Jess likes to read and
partake in a bit of photography. Up until this point Jess has had no involvement
with RDA but has always admired the cause, believing that everyone deserves the
chance to experience the amazing bond that can be formed by horse and rider.


Tamara is 16 years old and attends Chancellor
State Collage where she is in year 12. Tamara has been riding for 4 years and
has been a member of Caloundra Pony Club since 2010 where she regularly competes
in Showjumping, Hunter Trials, Hack days, Dressage and Gymkhanas. Other than
horses Tamara likes to go water skiing and camping. Although not directly
involved with RDA she has friends with Cerebral Palsy and loves to see how happy
it makes them to be around horses and the freedom it brings when they can escape
from the confines of the disability.

Teagan has been involved with Pony Club since
she was 11 years old and is currently a member of Caloundra. She regularly
attends Showjumping and Jumping Equitation competitions and has represented her
Zone at the last three State titles. Her interests other than horses are similar
to most teenage girls, she loves fashion and makeup. Even though Teagan is not
involved with her local RDA she does have family friends who are, and she can
see the joy that it brings into their lives. She is looking forward to being
involved with the 2011 Personality Quest and raising money for the RDA.

Eden has been riding for approximately 8
years and whilst she is not competing as much as she used to, is keeping up her
interest in Dressage and some jumping as well as attending most of her club
Rally Days.
Currently undertaking Year 12 at Bundaberg Christian College she is still unsure
of what area she may go into next year. Aside from horses she spends her leisure
time writing fiction stories and drawing. Having had a glimpse at how much
horses can change the lives of others who are less fortunate than herself has
encouraged Eden to participate in this years Personality Quest.

Jackie is 17 years old & works as a dental nurse in
Bundaberg. She has been riding since she was 11 & enjoys competitions & rally
days. Jackie has completed her Preliminary Dressage Judges course & hopes to
achieve many more. Her aim is to train horses & hopefully give back to pony club
what it has given to her. Jackie's family have been involved with the RDA & she
used to volunteer to clean the stables. Jackie says to see the bond of horses &
riders always made her proud to help.

Caro-lena is 16 years old, has been involved with horses
her whole life & has been riding since she was 4. She competes mostly through
pony Club with the preferred discipline being Dressage but she also enjoys
Showjumping & ODE's. Caro-lena intends to sit for her Instructors certificate
next year & is also interested in being a qualified Dressage Judge. Whilst not
currently involved in the RDA, she believes it to be an incredible organisation
& is glad to be able to help out so the beautiful people can experience the joy
of horses thanks to the RDA.

Danyelle is 20 years old & has been a member of Pony Club
since she was 6. Her favourite disciplines are ODE, Dressage & Showjumping & she
competed in her first State Event at the tender age of 7. Having successfully
attained her Showjump Judging, Coursebuilding & Jumping Equitation Judging,
Danyelle went on to complete her NCAS Preliminary Coaching accreditation & has
been Chief Instructor of her club for the past 2 years her aim being to give
back to pony club as much as it has given her. Other interests for Danyelle
include reading, scrapbooking, spending time with family & friends, mustering &
touch football. Never having been personally involved with RDA Danyelle is
looking forward to being able to assist in giving those less fortunate than
herself a chance to do with horses all the things she takes for granted.
